What you see is what you get. Lunch place with decent wraps, sandwiches and entrees. Some sweets up front and friendly service. It's weird how these sandwich shops spring up near medical buildings. It makes me wonder...do people in the medical community ever get sick of eating at sandwich places? What about their clothes? Oh well, I have no idea what the medical community wants, but this place makes a good wrap.

tucked away in the overpriced world of Beverly hills, it's cheap and the foods great!

Ate at the Roxbury Cafe today. I ordered a Green Benedict breakfast meal with potatoes. Of all the Benedicts I wouldn't consider it the greatest of all Benedicts but it is really good and on top of that, it's original. It is similar to a florentine without the typical hollidaise sauce. The sauce used was green and spinachy. If you want something unique I would definitely give it a go. Also the service was good as well as the waiter asked how my food was. Solid place. I'll go here again sometime. 4.5 / 5 Ps the wifi here is GOAT. I am still pretty? Lol

This is a place within walking distance to many of the medical buildings in the area. Food: They have a good variety menu and have healthy options as well. I decided to have the "Hills Turkey Burger" It was very tasty. Often times turkey burgers at restaurants don't have have great flavor but this one did. For my side I opted for the salad instead of the fries, and I was very happy. The salad was simple mixed greens with cucumber and tomato and a vinaigrette dressing. Very filling that I didn't eat all of my burger. I had about 1/4 of it left. Service: It seems as most of their customers do want to be bothered since they are plugged in with laptops, iPad's, phones and paperwork. So my service I think lacked because of that. I wasn't asked if I wanted more soda or anything else. But the way the place is set up it's easy to wave down someone if you did want something else. The staff was very pleasant when you interacted with them. It was very easy to eat here solo.

Cute little spot with nice staff. I got a veggie burger which was good. The prices were very reasonable. Coffee wasn't great, avoid cappuchino.

I only got a green pressed juice delivered from here, but it was pretty good. I'd order from them again! Prices were reasonable and the rest of the menu looks good too. May also have to stop in for a bit too.

Friendly and fast service. Have only tried the California wrap and French vanilla latte and both Are delicious

Good pit stop for a quick brunch or lunch. I was bummed I came on a non-lentil soup day, but their chicken noodle was just as good. They were out of honey for their teas. Service was excellent and quick. Bed of mixed greens that my chicken salad was served on was wilted and needed to be tossed. All in all a great place and a wide variety offered on their menu.

Roxbury Cafe is a hidden gem in Beverly Hills. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. It is a family run business which makes you feel welcome. Damir, Tonka and Fillip are the best. The menu is varied with some very creative dishes. If it's not on the menu, then they will gladly make it for you. I posted the seaside salad which is made as a requested item. It is the most delicious, healthy, satisfying salad you will ever find. I highly recommend Roxbury Cafe. It's open 6am - 4pm. ****** the kale smoothie is the bomb*******

Had a great meal with my mom. Philip helped us and he was very accommodating. Super serious about his coffee and remade it to make it perfect and stronger for us. Generous portions and very fresh. We will definitely come again.

I would give this place 1 or 2 more stars but I just can't. I do not know why it take soooooo long to just get an order here. There is no wait, but the wait for the food always takes forever............ The only thing I am addicted to here is their skinny french fries.. other than that everything else is just A-OK. Their fish sandwich and their tuna salad sandwich was good.. just not great.. maybe it is just the length of time it takes.. but if you are ordering to-go maybe it would be better.

Great little gem in Beverly Hills. Had breakfast while my wife was having her hip replaced across the street. Eggs Benedict and a single buttermilk pancake. All very tasty! Great service with fair prices...not the norm in this part of town. Absolutely recommend this place for breakfast!

No one is scouring the earth trying to find this cafe. It's very uneventful. You'd probably only come here if you worked nearby and had to come in here occasionally to mix up your lunch routine. Then after lunch you'd remind yourself why you don't come here that often. The food is so-so. I had a burger with fries and while the homemade spicy sauce was good, it didn't make up for the lack of pizazz that the food needs. For dessert I had a crepe with Nutella and bananas, but I thought that it was just okay. The owner comes off as a bit of a smart ass. I asked politely, "May I have a refill of coffee please?" And he responds with, "No." Then he goes and gets the coffee and says that I asked so politely that he had to say no. Then, when I went to pay at the register, I asked if I could get the 20% off discount for checking in on Yelp. Again, he said, "No." He's not funny and doesn't know how to kid with customers. Free wifi and decent coffee are the highlights of this cafe.

I love Roxbury Cafe! The food is excellent. The French Toast is absolutely amazing. The omelettes and pancakes are great too. For a Cafe in Beverly Hills the prices are very reasonable. The best part of Roxbury Cafe is the service. Phillip is the best and makes a killer latte, definitely one of the best lattes in Los Angeles.

Great food!! The goat cheese burger and BLT are excellent. Friendly, fast service too. Seems like a place that could be easy to overlook from the street but the food does not disappoint.

I needed to kill some time before meeting with a client yesterday so I decided to stop here and have some lunch. Everyone here was really friendly, I'd argue the staff were the highlight of my experience. I didn't have to wait to long to place an order and my server had plenty of wonderful things to say about the Truffle Goat Cheeseburger I ordered. The food took a fair amount of time to be prepared which is understandable considering it was during lunch rush. The burger itself had great ingredients but it tasted very bland. Usually brioche buns are a hit, but this one tasted a little stale. After I added salt to the burger it definitely tasted better. During my meal it got a little busier, and it became increasingly more difficult to get a refill, get my check, etc. Overall I might go here again because of the convenience of it's location, but I'd definitely order something different and set my expectations lower.

This place makes THEE BEST veggie farmers panini! I am an absolute carnivore, but I love this veggie filled sandwich. It is rich in flavor, as well as conveniently priced. And to top it off, their customer service is great. I absolutely love this place!

    (4)
  • Jess S.

This place was terrible. We went with a group of five people for lunch and the food was bland and did not have good flavor of any of the dishes we ordered. Our waiter was unkempt and was eating his own food behind the counter and served us without washing his hands. Gross!!! Skip it!!!!!

  • Steve K.

Used to come here all the time on lunch breaks, and for good reason: as a broke, college intern, finding an affordable meal in Beverly Hills isn't the easiest task and their breakfast burritos are out this world. I've had some of their other entrees, which are pretty standard American fare, but their breakfast burritos always hit the spot. They're huge (usually had half for lunch, half for dinner) and they're easily customizable. The service here is also very friendly, so dining-in was always nice.

My first time here. Went to Labcorp in the next building for blood work. Walked by and decided to get lunch. The owner was lovely and suggested some of her customers' favorite dishes when she heard that it was my first time there. I saw on the menu that they serve breakfast all day. Even though it was 2pm already, I ordered their green benedict. It was delicious! Instead of the creamy hollaindaise sauce, it was made with pesto sauce. Yummy!

Love This Place. The Roxbury Salad?! To die for!! When I am in BH I make it a point to stop and have lunch here. Met with a Client here last week and it was perfect. Clean , quiet and our waiter was super nice. I recommend this cafe.

  • Angela H.

I was seated right away, promptly taken care of with fresh water with lemon. It was quiet and the seating was plentiful. I ordered a Cobb salad with Basalmic dressing and a vegetable soup. The soup came right away and was so hearty and delicious! The salad followed with perfect timing. It was the best Cobb I've ever had. The dressing is perfectly distributed and all the fixin's in it were mixed just right! The staff was incredibly engaging, attentive and friendly. Someone mentioned below in a comment that the old man doesn't know how to joke with the customers. I found him to be charming and witty. He's probably over 70, he's lived long enough to be allowed to not be funny to everyone. That shouldn't even matter because he was so prompt in his timing with clearing my dishes from the table and he told me "If you eat here, you live forever." That's cute. give the guy a break. This cafe is clean, uses fresh ingredients, is not packed to the hilt with loud people and they served me very fast.

I love that they deliver to our office upstairs!!! Anyway today I had a Caesar Salad chicken wrap and it was DELICIOUS, I was so hungry I literally devoured it, my choice of side was crunchy french fries and I loved it! I will def be having this again but also exploring the menu.

Roxbury Cafe is within walking distance from my office, so I decided to give it a try. I've been there a few times, and while I'm happy to say that all the food that I've tried is really tasty, it's a bummer that the service seems to be on the slow side. I would think that since most people are here on their lunch break, they would have people in and out in a short amount of time. But instead, eating here seems to take up most, if not all of my lunch hour. The food generally seems to come out quickly, but it takes quite some time for someone to even come to your table. They never really check back with you (I've sat with an empty glass at the counter with everyone walking by and no one's noticed or offered refills), and it isn't until you're clearly done with your meal that someone comes by and offers anything else. The best thing is to probably order your food To-go from here so you don't have to sit around waiting for them.

  • Irene S.

This place is awesome! I order lunch from here almost everyday. Quick, fresh, delicious, friendly, and hit the spot! I am addicted to Green Eggs Benedict.

  • Mel G.

I had the denver omelet and it was just OK. Nothing special, just the basics that I can make at home. The side of fruits that came with it seems like it's been sitting in the fridge for a few days. In the back near the bathroom, you can some areas of the kitchen. With that said, there were two containers of cooked white and brown rice left out in the open. It just look unsanitary and probably will never eat again. I'm also bummed that my waiter, the son, did not or probably forgot to honor the 20% discount for checking in on yelp when he said he would. On a good note, there's free wi-fi. But again, I wouldn't come back. Ok - the waiter came back with money for not providing the 20% discount. So i just up'd one star.

Went at 12:30 for lunch on a Monday and didn't have to wait at all. We sat outside (by choice) and had a very nice waitress. I ordered the Turkey Avacodo Burger and it was really juicy and delicious! My friends ordered the club sandwich and the ahi tuna salad, and both said their food was really good too. Great lunch spot with plenty to choose from, and great prices!

Great family owned restaurant - I have been coming here for years - since I was 14. Very convenient location if youve fasted and your starving after a medical check up. Everything on the menu is delicious. The waiter, I think it is the son of the family, is very nice and helpful and very funny. Try the Quinoa Salad - its delicious. But hands down I love this restaurant - its a great lunch spot and the ambiance is very good as well. These two things coupled with great service make this place great!

I tried the Open Face Lox Sandwich (see photo). Totally worth the $10. The service was ok, but since I was in a rush, I quickly asked for more water and the bill. As I was people watching, I noticed this establishment delivers to the offices/stores/etc around the area. The delivery person is on a bicycle and he carries all the food either in his hand or in the basket at the front of his bicycle. Nice.

  • Joyce D.

No menu needed. Mama knows our order right when we walk in! Service is always with a smile! I always get their Cobb salad with extra kale because their bacon is the bomb-diggaty! I keep my honey mustard dressing on the side because you can eat the salad plain because it's that fresh. Avocados have always been fresh for us too because my tummy-tum-tums is known to discriminate bad avocados!!! Also try Mama's kale smoothie! Worth. Every. Penny!

I had their tuna melt with cheddar and lentil soup and it was delicious! One of the best lunches I've had in a while. The prices are also very reasonable specially considering the location. Will definitely be coming back for more :D

I'm in BH for work and wanted a non-overpriced hotel breakfast so I picked up my trusty mobile phone, fired up Yelp, and started walking down Wilshire. This place popped up in my filtered search as an easy stroll from my hotel so off I went. I spotted the cafe by its umbrella tables out front. Inside, it's your (very) basic cafe with some generic city pictures and Ikea light fixtures. But I'm not here for ambiance. Breakfast was foremost on my mind and they have a lot of options. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for a place sitting between Nosh and Neiman Marcus. They even have a pair of early bird specials valid until 10am. When I saw the crispy French toast, I was sold. Protip: even though the early bird special says no substitutions, I asked my very nice server (I think she's the owner) if they had any combos with the French toast and she graciously allowed me to swap out the pancakes for the toast. Shiny! Coffee was decent, standard diner fare. I did not think to order a cappuccino but a customer near me did and it looked awesome. My food arrived nice and hot. I hate when I get luke-warm french toast and fresh-out-of-the-fridge butter. Not a problem here as the french toast was hot off the griddle and melted that butter like... um, butter? Scrambled eggs and bacon were your typical diner quality but that french toast was tasty. It was coated in some sort of batter that crunched nicely when cutting and chewing. They also have a large selection of smoothies and other food so I wouldn't mind coming back again. The only issue was the service at the end was slow. My server (owner?) filled my coffee a couple times but then was sitting at the bar with her macbook, shopping for something. It wasn't a big deal as I wasn't needing anything but if I did, I would have needed to call out for her. Overall, I had a good meal and decent, friendly service. I'd go back.

Great, easy cafe! And not that expensive. Breakfast looked really good but we got lunch. The buffalo sandwich is really good and I would order that! Also tried the half turkey sandwich and tortilla soup which was great. make sure you check-in to get your special offer! we will be back! not sure about parking since we walked.

  • Brian O.

I would give one star for ambiance (as others mentioned below) and that wouldn't really bother me...if the rest of the meal was fine. Instead, the only thing the waiter said, (after waiting 10 minutes, yes, 10 minutes, sitting there with only 3 other people in the restaurant) was "Where you going?!" Where am I going? To another location where they are willing to prepare food for me to eat in exchange for money. Sorry to inconvenience you!

  • Mayra B.

Horrible service from the owner. I called to place an order at 3:50 and told me that they don't deliver because the kitchen is closed. When in fact the menu says your open for delivery at 4:00pm. We were loyal customers for a long time but not anymore. Phillip the owner was not accomodating at all. Even when we have been loyal customers for a long time. Bye Bye Roxbury! Eat your heart out!

Good warm lunch sandwiches, salads etc. They also serve breakfast, wraps, burgers and a few lunch entrees. I've had the vegetarian twice (Farmers Panini), a hit both times. My favorite however is their green kale smoothie -which I keep coming back for. It has a fresh good flavor, not too sweet - and not too grassy tasting, just wish they used organic ingredients. Would go back if I was in the area. The only drawback is the ambiance - it is kind of drab - order at the counter type service. Just not very cosy, but great lunch spot that also delivers.

Had the Eggs Benedict as suggested by some Yelpers. And true, it was super good. The hollandaise sauce looked suspiciously thick and yellow, and for a second I thought I'd made a mistake by not asking for it on the side. But low and behold, it was actually mad delish! I cleaned the plate, really. However, the space could use a bit more ambiance. Considering there are many dining options in the area, I'll save the next couple of stars until my next visit, upon which I plan on trying something else from the menu to see if it's really all that.

I'm updating my review since I've worked in the area for more than three years now and I have formed a solid opinion about this establishment. The customer service is non-existent and there's better food to be had anywhere else in the immediate vicinity. I've frequented the cafe enough for them to know my face and know my name. Today I ordered a grilled cheese with no tomato. The menu says Grilled Cheese $7.95 - Mozzarella, Cheddar and Swiss with Grilled Tomato. I picked up my sandwich and walked back to my office. When I opened the container, there was my sandwich with no tomato, but also no mozzarella and no swiss. I called the cafe and spoke to the owner. She works the cash register almost every day. I know exactly who she is and made her know who I was to be sure she remembered I was a regular. Her INITIAL excuse to me was that the menu said OR not AND. I offered to bring her the menu plainly printed in front of me. Her secondary excuse was I had an old menu. Because now, the new menu states add tomato or ham for $1, which made no sense to me and should have triggered an error in her mind when I ordered my sandwich and I said, "No tomato" ESPECIALLY if their previous menu's sandwich came with tomato included. Cutting to the chase, I said, "I don't have mozzarella or swiss on my sandwich. How do you plan to solve this?" She then proceeded to argue with me. Yes, I said argue. Telling me the new menu says this and the new menu says that. I said, "So you don't plan to fix this." Again, she began telling me about their menu and how it says what it says. I politely replied, "Don't worry. You don't ever have to worry about me spending my money there again." They lost a customer over $8.60 ($7.60 food cost plus a $1.00 tip). Hell will freeze over before I spend a dime in this place again.

I'm writing this review based on one salad, the Roxbury Salad. I've written good reviews in the past for this place, their food is usually really good and seems fresh. Received this salad by delivery, all the ingredients were good, however there was barely ANYTHING in it. It was a giant pile of spinach with maybe 2 walnuts, no goat cheese, and some beets. Someone just didn't pay attention when making it!

The delightfully fresh coffee-pastry aroma in this establishment is a warm, comforting welcome as you enter from the hardened, callous streets of downtown Beverly Hills (ha). With consistently great food and service, this is what a cafe should be. My boss swears by the Smoothies. So much so that she had to start making them at home so as not to incur smoothie debt - they're around $5 a pop. The Greek Salad with Ahi Tuna is her standard order. It looks pretty stellar and comes with a tasty-looking Parmesan bread slice. My colleague has also ordered a variety of salads here and extols their gustatory virtues. I order the 1/2 Roasted Turkey Sandwich with Cranberry Aioli and the Chicken Vegetable Soup. So simple, so good! We went to pick up our order the other day and the cashier actually called her supervisor over to make sure she hadn't charged too much for the 3 items on the bill. Morals of the story: 1. Ahi's still not cheap. 2. In this day and age, where else are you going to find customer service like that?!

The Roxbury is a very casual, comfortable cafe. It very much has the atmosphere of a neighborhood hang out. The breakfast is very tasty, filling and surprisingly cheap. The service is friendly, but somewhat slow.

I was getting a little "hangry" and stumbled upon this place just when I was about to lose it. They had quick, VERY friendly service (not always the case in this part of town, at least in my experience) and the food was delicious to boot. Surprisingly tasty coffee as well. Now that my "hanger" has been avoided, I can say with confidence I'll be back to support this great family owned restaurant.

I was in the area so I decided to stop in for a to-go lunch order. Ended up getting the California Wrap (which comes with grilled chicken, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes and honey mustard dressing) and a side of sweet potato fries. It came out to around $11. The tortilla on the wrap was the thinnest thing I have ever seen. It actually disintegrated when you take the wrapper off and half the wrap was was left exposed to the elements. The ingredients were pretty fresh, but the chicken was pretty bland. The sweet potato fries were fine, but nothing to write home about. They were more limp than I like and could have been fried up a little more.

Has the potential of being a good cafe to order for lunch, but the restaurant is poorly and inefficiently managed. The food, if your order is correct, is as expected for cafe food. However, having ordered there multiple times, with some issue on most occasions (incorrect order, order not ready, wrong items in order), today was my last time.

  • Shari P.

Good food, fairly priced. The quality seemed above average for a cafe and the omelets were done perfectly - not overcooked on the outside but cheese melted on the inside. Staff is friendly too. We ended up here intending on going to Mickey Fine Deli (in the back of the pharmacy) next door but they were closed for the Labor Day weekend - I'm glad they were closed so we'd discover Roxbury Cafe! We will be back again for lunch next time. The omelet was done so well that I took half home and heated it up for lunch on Sunday and it was just as good as it was originally served Saturday AM.

yes, I am a fan. I came here with my friend who works across the street from this cafe. She told me she started coming here because Nosh was just a glorified Denny's. Once inside, the decor was the whole stark warehouse meets diner look. I like that they have regular tables as well as comfy booths. we chose the latter. We ordered the chicken goulash, today's special. I got mine with egg noodles. My friend got hers with mashed potatoes. The sauce was a bit on the mild side but the owner or mgr. told us that's the way hungarian spice is - on the mild side. the chicken was slow-cooked so it was tender. if there were any bones (there weren't) the meat would have fallen off of it. Our dish came with a salad (or soup). Two ppl, 21 bucks. Nice lunch. We crossed the street and treated ourselves to one cupcake from Sprinkles. When you share it, it's not as bad.

It's a little out-of-the-way place on Roxbury between South Santa Monica and Wilshire. The food is descent, but not great, and the portions are large. The staff is very friendly and looking to make your experience a good one.

I received an email from one of the owners to come back and try the penne pasta, claiming they've changed the way they make many of their dishes. In interests of full disclosure, I will say it was on the house. With that being said, I was quite impressed with the Pesto Penne Pasta. I ordered it with chicken and they give you a generous amount. The pasta and veges were quite fresh. As this is probably the first time I've eaten here in a couple years, I was so glad to return, and the food lived up to the owner's claim. It definitely wasn't as oily or greasy as when I had it two years ago. The customer service now, and before even, has always been top-notch - they are really nice and sweet. I will be back for more.

The food is pretty good, but the service is incredibly slow, at least at lunch. This is because even though the place is empty inside, they do a lot of delivery. I waited 10 minutes for a salad (one that didnt even have anything cooked on it) when I asked what was taking so long, the waiter said that there were 15 orders ahead of me. When I looked puzzled, he said "of course we take care of the patrons in the restaurant first." I got my salad within 3 minutes. Im pretty sure if I didnt speak up it would have been 30 minutes before I got the salad, which took 3 minutes to make.

There's a certain welcoming that dances around places like this. No fluffy productions, no gimicky signs or sales... just straight good 'ol cafe food for breakfast and lunch. I tend to lean towards the Weiner snitzel quite often for my lunch choice... lightly battered chicken breast with a side of fresh mash potatoes and steamed veggies... doplet of gravy, mmmmm. I know it sounds heavy, but its actually fluffy and just slightly crunchy when you cut into the chicken. I don't think many realize this but there's crepes up in here. Pho- reallll.... I don't know too many places that serve crepes as a breakfast option, but I am alll up in that biz. I'm tired and might go there for a coffee and crepe now. tweet me if you go too, haha @karrixlin

This is a great lunch place if you work in the area and I've been ordering from here for years. The delivery is INSANELY fast if you need to stay in the office and if you have time to go there and go a little early, you can avoid the lunch crowd. I highly recommend the lentil soup (my coworker and I always do Lentil Soup Tuesdays) and the garden burger (with sweet potato fries obviously).

This place is very convenient for me since it is on the same block as my office. The beauty is, they have great food as well. Today I decided it was finally time to write about it as I just ate the best steak burrito ever. Everything I have ever had I really liked (turkey-cranberry sandwich, breakfast combos, healthy smoothies, sweet potato fries, stuffed bell pepper, salads, wraps, etc etc etc.). The owners are a cute family that I have become friendly with. They always welcome and recognize me. The mom/wife is usually there and is so sweet and mom-like. You can tell she really cares about the food. (She makes the best green smoothie, BTW.) No Beverly Hills hoity toity fancy-ness here - just good, home cooked food in a relaxing environment - a great place for a lunch break.

I love everything about this place. It's a mom-n-pop and you get that warmth as soon as you step in. Coffee's are fantastic as is the food. I think my favorite items are the eggs benedict for the breakfast and the "gypsy burger" for lunch. The eggs benedict are classically prepared and done right. The "gypsy burger" is a burger stuffed in a pita with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and some mayo. The best part about the burger?? They put jalapenos in the patty! They have beer, they have wine, and best of all.. character. A very welcomed change from the cookie-cutter outfits that you see littered on every other street corner.

After a morning meeting in Beverly Hills we stopped at this neat little sidewalk cafe for a quick lunch. Elena provided great service (it should have been we were the only ones there at 11 am) and the food is exceptional. I had the bagel sandwhich (awesome) and Alex had the california wrap (that he loved). Stop by for an inexpensive solid meal! Located at 459 Roxbury Dr. 1 calif wrap 8.95 1 bagel sand 7.50 bacon 1.50 Arnold Palmer 2.25 ice tea 2.25 Total - $24.58

A delightful cafe with many great choices on the menu. We ate there several times during the week. Every meal we ordered was good. The owners were wonderful and made sure everything was done to our liking. Highly recommend the Penne Pasta with Vegetables. Very reasonable prices.

This is a typical cafe for having breakfast and dinner. Service was great and the food was very good, no complains at all. Very laid back and affordable as well. Lot of local people come here.

This place was pretty good. I was working in the area and needed a quick place to go. They take phone orders and I just picked up my order. I ordered a tuna melt that came with Clam Chowder. Nothing special about the clam chowder. The tuna melt, however was delicious. It came on Rye bread which was toasty and buttery (think bread from a grilled cheese). It is a little on the expensive side, but hey...they gotta pay the rent. The only thing that I didn't care for was after I paid (and tipped), the lady just left me there standing. She didn't mention that my food was waiting for me on the other side. I had to follow her and inquire where my food was. Literally took my money and then walked away w/out even a 'Thanks!'. 'Have a great day', or 'Come again'. For that I am giving 3 stars. I would have given 4. Some level of customer service is important to me.

LOVE the food! Incredibly diverse menu which is good since I never seem to know what I want!! My favorite is the Weiner Schnitzel and mashed potatos. I have them deliver to my office in Century City or my home in BH... No delivery fee which is a RARETY in this town!!! That's all I got. :)

You would never know that this place would be good. I worked across the street for an entire month before ever setting foot inside. I would recommend the roast beef pannini. It was stuffed with lots of meat and freshly grilled peppers. Huge portion. Actually I ate half of it the next day for lunch and it was still decent. I also had the chicken goulash one time which is a special on Mondays I think. It wasn't that spicy, I just like spicy food though. But it was pretty good and also kept well. So I have a small appetite sometimes. Also stopped in for an iced mocha for a friend because Starbucks was too far for me to go when I found out this place was so take-out friendly. They deliver and serve mochas with whipped cream. ;)

I've never set foot in the Roxbury Cafe, but I eat their food all the time. With free delivery to Century City, it's one of the best places my office can order from. Their breakfast stuff is really good, so I usually go that route, although the sandwich I had (farmers panini) was really great. They'll change anything on the menu to adapt to your desires (make that chorizo and eggs b-fast into a burrito for me? no problem!), they deliver pretty efficiently, and the food is actually hot when it arrives. Plus we don't even have to get up from our desks for a hot latte to arrive :) I can sense that I'm getting a little too comfortable in this office job...

I'm a total fan. Roxbury Cafe has the best cafe food in BH. Sure, there are lots of high end expensive restaurants that are better, but if you want a great lunch for very little $$ this is the place. They do a better job of cafe food than anyone else in BH. Try their hot turkey sandwich. Or their chicken parm. Both are outstanding. I love Roxbury because it's tasty and inexpensive.

i used to be a regular here before i got "laid off" from my old job and honestly, the roxbury cafe is one of the things i miss most. the owner is achingly sweet, patient, and non-judgmental (didn't question why i refuse to eat vegetables). their roasted turkey sandwich with cranberry mayonnaise is PERFECT, their new england clam chowder is great, their supply of sweet potato fries are depleted early on in the day for a reason.

SALMONELLA. I contracted Salmonella poisoning here on 1/12/11. I was in the hospital for six days. Apparently, egg salad is NOT supposed to have a crust on it. Was I dumb to eat a questionable egg salad sandwich? Probably. Did the Roxbury Cafe serve me Salmonella? Definitely. According to County Health, the onset of my symptoms and the date I ate there (have the receipt) fit the known incubation period of Salmonella perfectly.

Tucked away on street near Rodeo and among what seem to be medical buildings, this is a nice little find. A tasty diner with some unique items on the menu. Parking is tough and the prices are steep.
